Next Friday Lisbon will be a giant bike lane. Everyone’s invited to leave their cars at home and bike to work.
All around the city, companies will be encouraging their workers to use this eco friendly vehicle and there will even be a photo contest with several prizes to win.
This initiative is one of European Mobility Week 2016 initiatives, that will start on September 16th and end on September 22nd and that will take place a bit all over Europe, in 47 countries.
For those who decide to ride their bike to work but have to commute also by train, CP (the portuguese train company) will also have a special offer. If you travel accompanied by your bike you will only pay 2€ for a roundtrip (valid for Sintra/Azambuja and Cascais train lines).
According to tomorrow’s weather forecast, it will be a beautiful sunny day and the temperature will be pleasant so grab you bike and ride through Lisbon, wether you are going to work or weather you are willing to bike just for fun.
