A new highlight is emerging in Lisbon: the brand new building of MAAT - Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology.
This bold construction stands next to MAAT’s old building, that used to be Lisbon’s Museum of Electricity, in Belém area, and opens its doors today, October 5th.
From noon until midnight entrance is free and there will be dozens of events for those who decide to pop by.
From guided tours to the opening of the much anticipated Charles and Ray Eames exhibition, from talks to concerts, namely by fado singer Carminho and the Portuguese band Dead Combo.
Despite its very much attractive cultural offer, that is expected to be visited by about 250.000 persons per year, one of the spaces main attraction will be its amazing building, designed by Amanda Levete’s team and inspired by the Portuguese ceramic and Portugal’s traditional mosaic paving.
The cherry on top will be the breathtaking view over the river Tejo, that is sure to provide some unforgetable memories.
