It is an old tradition and every year, by this time, announces that Christmas is coming to town.

Christmas lights in Baixa neighbourhood will light up tomorrow, Saturday, at 18:00, making every street more colorful.

Millions of LED lights will brighten the city until early January, everyday from dusk until dawn, and besides all the ornaments, there will also be two huge Christmas trees, one in Praça D. Pedro IV, also known as Rossio, and the other one in Praça do Comércio, by the river.

And if you want to make sure Santa doesn’t forget to bring you a present, there will also be a special mailbox at Praça Luís de Camões, in Chiado, where you can post your letter to Saint Nick.
