They call themselves a world homemade food restaurant. The owners love to travel and that passion is reflected on their menu as well as on the decoration.
Estrela da Bica is a small, tiny, little restaurant that serves food made with love, care and just the right portion of creativity.
It is located on an hidden street, right next to the famous Elevador da Bica but it is easily spotted due to the queue of people outside, waiting to taste a delicious meal (so reservations are encouraged).
The menu changes everyday but you can choose from different options of petiscos, like the amazing “tiborna de sardinha” (sardines over with red pepper over slices of bread) or their special humus (seasoned with garlic and paprika). The menu also includes a 3 dishes a day, a fish dish, a meat option and a vegetarian meal.
The atmosphere is warm and prices are quite nice too.
Go check for yourself and see why lisboners can’t live without Estrela da Bica.
