It is one of the most international film festivals of Lisbon and it has the highest concentration of cinema stars per square feet.
We are talking about Lisbon Estoril & Film Festival, that happens every year, since 2007, and this year’s edition will start tomorrow.
There will be 10 days of film screenings, masterclasses, debates, exhibitions, concerts and other cultural events, taking place between Lisboa and Estoril, a few miles away from the capital, and it will be difficult to choose from all the excellent events on the program.
Lisbon & Estoril Film Festival 2016 guestlist, as per usual in previous editions, includes prominent names such as Emir Kusturica, Jim Jarmusch, Peter Handke, Teresa Vilaverde, Pascal Bonitzer, Jerzy Skolimowski or Monica Bellucci, that will be present at the festival’s events.
Amongst several film premieres, there will also be a few retrospectives, namely a tribute to Jean-Luc Godard, one of the french nouvelle vague fathers, a tribute to polish film director Jerzy Skolimowski and Emir Kusturica and portuguese film director Teresa Vilaverde retrospectives.
