Lisbon has always been the city of Fado. And there’s no way to deny it has always been a multicultural melting pot.
So Lisbon is probably the only place in the world where you can listen to some Fado, mixed with the Spanish Flamenco, the Argentinian Tango or the Brazilian Chorinho.
Throw in one of the best views over the city, the view from Castelo de Sāo Jorge, and you have a not to be missed event, that perhaps will never happen again in History.
Starting today and until next Saturday, Fado no Castelo, will take place in Castelo de Sāo Jorge, with artists like António Serrano and Ana Sofia Varela (Fado es Volver – Fado & Flamenco), Marco Rodrigues and Edu Miranda (Um Choro de Fado – Fado & Chorinho) and Daniel Schvetz and Ricardo Ribeiro (El Gordo Triste – Fado & Tango).
All shows start at 22:00 and entrance is free but tickets should be picked up at the castle’s ticket office or in Museu do Fado on the day of the show, from 20:00.
Nights will be warm, the moon will be up in the sky so go on, enjoy this wonderful opportunity provided by Festas de Lisboa.
