Summer may be almost waving goodbye throughout many european countries but not in Portugal.
In fact, here in Lisbon we intend to stay out on the streets for at least a few more weeks and there’s the perfect festival to keep us all busy: Com’out Lisbon/Lisboa na Rua.
Starting today and until the 1st of October there will be big band performances, classical music events, fado, movies, guided tours, videoart, theatre and markets a bit all over the city, from Chiado, to Arco do Cego, from Ribeira das Naus to Quinta das Conchas, from Terreiro do Paço to Tapada das Necessidades.
And the best thing is, it is for free. All shows and events have free entrance and since they are out on the street there is a very small chance of not getting in.
Most events take place in the late afternoon and evenings transforming the most unexpected places on stages and they are really easy to find as they are so many of them but stay tuned to Neighbourly Lisbon to catch some of our suggestion during the next few weeks.
Com’out Lisbon happens every year, around this time of the year and it is organized by EGEAC and supported by Turismo de Portugal. It promotes what the city has to offer and its goal is to gather around everybody: Lisbon’s visitors but also those living and working in town.
